PHP Fisheries is situated in the southernmost region of Bangladesh, in Teknaf Upazila. Teknaf benefits from a warm climate and ample rainfall, resulting in a diverse array of species. Spanning 95 acres of land, PHP Fisheries comprises 18 cultured ponds, 2 preserver ponds, a hatchery, and areas earmarked for future development. The site is dedicated to the cultivation of shrimp and freshwater fish. The facility has the capacity to produce other freshwater fish, along with 100 MT of shrimp. During the fish breeding season's off-time, PHP employs a distinct approach to sustain its operations by extracting salt from seawater using an entirely natural evaporation process, complemented by manual harvesting. Furthermore, the project encompasses an ice factory to enhance preservation, two deep tube wells, approximately 750 trees, and various other amenities.
